Durable climate policy depends on understanding what the public actually wants, and why. We design and field original public opinion research that turns that understanding into evidence policymakers and advocates can use.
What sets our work apart is precision and depth. We run geo-targeted, locally representative surveys that canvas the specific communities that policies touch. Recent work has included surveys of US households within a quarter-mile of oil and gas wells, to residents of small-island states on the front lines of sea-level rise. Our work draws on political science to study what people believe and what changes their minds.
